How I Work
I practice as a person-centred counsellor. This means that I do not bring an agenda to client work, instead, my focus is on the provision of genuine non-judgement, empathy and personal authenticity. I have also undergone training in Person-Centred Expressive Arts and enjoy offering clients non-verbal means of expression. I have particular clinical experience with complex/developmental trauma (CPTSD), and bereavement and loss. I am currently training as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and so comfortable working with experiences such as dissociation, panic attacks and nightmares. I am LGBTQIA+ allied and work affirmatively with explorations of gender and identity.
I am based in Birmingham where I provide face to face sessions in the Jewellery Quarter and Bournville. I also work from central London at Gray’s Inn Therapy Rooms - WC1.
I provide counselling online and in some cases it may be possible for me to travel to you.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and as such abide by their Ethical Framework.
